Paris apartments and Paris on a budget
A limited budget doesn’t necessarily have to mean that Paris is totally out of bounds. Much of Paris’ appeal lies in its sweeping boulevards and charming ambience, what’s more eating well doesn’t have to break the bank either. So here are a few tips to keep the budget down when visiting France’s capital.
Transport: if you’re planning to stay for a week the most economical way to get about town is with a Carte Orange pass which will allow you unlimited travel within given zones from 16€ 30 a week. You will need to supply a passport photo to get the card, but is definitely worth the effort.
Accommodation: if you don’t want to be eating out every night paris apartments are an economical option, not only allowing you to self-cater when you please, but also giving you an added feeling of privacy. What’s more, Paris apartments allow you to experience a little piece of Parisian living.
Eating out: for some cheap but very tasty eats, head to the North African falafel restaurants and take-away shops in the Marais, or for a taste of Brittany head to la rue Montparnasse where there are a range of creperies, offering delicious and reasonably priced meals in a cosy and welcoming atmosphere.
